Emptiness

In this work I explore how we cope with the loss of a loved one.  How we project the emptiness they leave upon the ordinary things around us. Turning everyday landscapes into gloomy and dark places.

It's been 33 years since my mom died of cancer. I'm still trying to deal with his death. This project is my catharsis to transform the negative and traumatic experience of loss into something positive and healing.

According to philosopher Alejandro Jodoroski, art heals one's soul and I believe in it.
